Arizona Correctional Educators is recruiting members to stand for election to its Governing Board.

Strong, service-minded leaders help ACEAZ grow as Arizona's premier organization for correctional educators and related professionals.

YOUR ROLE

What You'll Do

Help set direction and priorities for ACEAZ.
Represent member needs across juvenile and adult settings.
Support programs, events, and professional development.
Participate in budgeting and stewardship activities.
Assist with symposium planning and partnerships.
Uphold governance and policies outlined in board position descriptions.

EXPECTATIONS

Time & Commitment

Attend monthly and/or bi-monthly board meetings.
Prepare for meetings and complete action items between sessions.
Participate in email votes and committee work as needed.
Support key events, with virtual participation used when appropriate.

You may nominate yourself or a colleague. Before submitting, confirm that the nominee can attend the required meetings and fulfill the responsibilities of the position. If release time or other authorization is necessary, appropriate approval should be secured before standing for election.

Identify Your Nominee

You may nominate yourself or recommend a colleague who is interested in serving on the board.

Select a Board Position

Choose the desired ACEAZ Governing Board position from the options provided in the nomination form.

Prepare a Brief Biography

Attach a biography or résumé of 75 words or fewer in PDF format for inclusion on the election ballot.

Confirm Your Availability

Ensure the nominee can participate in required board meetings and responsibilities. If employer release time or approval is necessary, obtain it before standing for election.
